How to Enter and Contest Entries

Contest begins with regular season football games on September 5, 2024 and ends on February 9, 2025 (“Contest Period”). Enter by filling out the online registration form any time during the contest period. You will be asked to fill in your name, address, phone number and e-mail address (required).

You must use a valid and unique email address when you submit your entry.

Contest is void where prohibited by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

No purchase is necessary.

You must be 18 years old or older and a legal U.S. resident.

Contest valid for residents of the WTKR viewing area.

Only one entry per person per game allowed. Contestants found to have purposely entered more than once, are automatically disqualified. Winners must show proof of ID and residence upon acceptance of prizes. If a winner is unable to provide proof of ID or residence, they are disqualified.

Employees and their families of WTKR, Scripps Media, Inc., sponsors, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional partners and agents are not eligible to participate.

Station and Sponsors are not responsible for lost, late, illegible or misdirected entries. Odds of winning are dependent upon the number of people participating in the promotion.

If you consent to future use at the time of registration, your entry and personal information contained therein will be added to a database for later use and the information will be shared with any and all sponsors of this contest. Any sponsor associated with this contest has the right to use data collected for marketing purposes.

All entries become the property of WTKR, Scripps Media, Inc. and will not be returned. All disputes will be resolved on an individual basis by arbitration in the state of Virginia.

Station and Sponsors are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost/delayed data transmissions, omissions, interruption, deletion, line failure of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any website or online service, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, misdirected or otherwise undeliverable entries. WTKR, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the website or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. WTKR, Scripps Media, Inc. further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify any contest not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort. Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this contest is unlawful and subject to legal action by the sponsors or its agents.

By entering this online contest, you agree that you have read all the rules and terms of use and will abide by them accordingly, including the decisions of the judges relative to this contest, whose decision will be final in all respects. No correspondence can be answered.

Picks can be changed up until the start of each game.

Prizes

One point is awarded for each correct pick. There will be eighteen (18) (one for each week) Weekly Contest Winners, three (3) Season Contest Winners, and one (1) Grand Prize Winner.

Weekly Winners: The contestant with the most points accumulated for a specific week during the Regular Season is the Weekly Winner for that specific week. If there is a tie, the tiebreaker is used to determine the winner. It does not matter if the tiebreaker score picked is higher or lower than the actual tiebreaker score. If there is still a tie, a random drawing between the tied contestants will be held to determine the winner. There are no weekly winners during the postseason. Each Weekly Winner will receive an entry into the Grand Prize Drawing.

Grand Prize Winner: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected by random drawing from a pool of contestants who have earned a 'Grand Prize Drawing Entry'. The pool of contestants will include the eighteen (18) regular weekly winners and the top three (3) season score finishers. The Grand Prize Winner will receive a $1,000.

Season Winners: The top 3 contestants with the most points accumulated for all 18 weeks during the Regular Season and during the Postseason will be the Season Winners. If there is a tie, the tiebreaker is used to determine the winner. It does not matter if the tiebreaker score picked is higher or lower than the actual tiebreaker score. If there is still a tie, a random drawing between the tied contestants will be held to determine the winner. 1st Place Season Winner will receive $500. 2nd Place Season Winner will receive $250. 3rd Place Season Winner will receive $100.

Winners may be announced on air in addition to being notified via e-mail. Winners’ names may also be posted online.

Prizes are not awarded during preseason.

Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No substitutions will be made on any prize unless at the discretion of the sponsors and any advertiser associated with this promotion.

Winners are responsible for any taxes, tags and insurance costs incurred with this contest. All federal, state and local taxes may apply and are the responsibility of winners.

By entering the contest, winners agree to waive any and all claims against the sponsors, their parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, agents, and representatives for personal injury or loss that may occur from participation in this contest or from the receipt or use of any prize.

Winners may be required to sign a waiver and affidavit of public release.

Winners may be required to execute a declaration of eligibility that winner has complied with all the rules; that releases sponsors and all prize supplier companies from all liability for damages or personal injury in connection with winner’s use of the prize goods or services; and consent in writing that the sponsors and anyone they may authorize may, without compensation, use winner’s name, photograph or other likeness, biographical information and statements concerning the sweepstakes or the sponsors for purposes of advertising and promotion.

Winners’ names and likenesses may be used for publicity purposes without further compensation.
